On April 17th, PowerToFly collaborated with Audible for our third event at their Newark, New Jersey headquarters. The night centered around two comprehensive tech talks lead by Audible's mobile leaders that provided deep dives into the Audible platform and general best practices for mobile tech. Before and after the presentations, attendees were free to network with their peers and members of the Audible team while enjoying amazing food and refreshments.
The night kicked off with a welcome address by Jeff Kobos, Sr. Director, Software Development; Huijie Miao, Sr. Manager, Software Development and Chandana Kanchangari, Sr. Manager, Software Development who greeted out attendees and acted as hosts throughout the evening.
The night's first tech talk centered on Kotlin Multiplatform and was led by Software Engineers Ankit Somani and Pedro Veloso. The second presentation was from Software Development Engineers Ana Ma and Sunayna Jain and focused on Accessibility in iOS. After each talk, our attendees had the opportunity to ask questions directly to presenters.
The night wasn't over! Attendees stuck around to enjoy more networking time and the event concluded with a raffle of two Amazon Echoes for a couple of lucky attendees.

Remote jobs are on the rise, but finding one isn't always easy to do. Luckily, many of our clients like real estate company My State MLS actively use PowerToFly to source top talent for their open remote positions.
In fact, if you have a smartphone, you probably spend over 87% of your phone time in apps. Some call it a tech addiction, others call it a modern necessity. What's clear is that we can leverage app time to our benefit and if done right, build skills, save money, and live more fulfilling personal and professional lives.
I know that the idea of being a stay-at-home mom with a full-time remote job might sound like a dream (if you're reading this, it may well be yours!), but juggling so many distinct responsibilities with no physical barriers to help you establish boundaries is hard. Like really hard.
