From the beginning, Aurora's mission has been to create a future of solar energy for all by enabling solar professionals to design and sell solar at scale. On our journey, we had the opportunity to connect with Folsom Labs and realized that we shared the same vision for the solar industry. Ultimately, we decided we're better together than apart, so today we're happy to announce that Aurora has completed the acquisition of Folsom Labs, the makers of HelioScope solar design software.

As pioneers in solar software, both Aurora Solar and Folsom Labs have helped propel the solar industry's growth by providing software that enables solar contractors — from the largest national providers to the thousands of smaller, local solar installers — to accurately design and sell solar projects from anywhere. To date, thousands of organizations around the world have designed millions of residential and commercial solar projects using Aurora and HelioScope — but this is just the beginning.

By joining forces with the Folsom Labs team, we hope to accelerate our ability to accomplish our common goal of lowering solar project soft costs and support the demands of even more solar organizations across more applications. We both have innovative, accurate, user-friendly technology, deep knowledge of and passion for the solar industry, and commitment to delighting our growing base of customers. We couldn't be more excited about what this means for the users of Aurora and HelioScope, and look forward to continuing to build an amazing software experience for the entire solar community.

You can check out the press release for more details, and we'll continue to keep you updated with new information as we move forward. For more on what this news means to the Helioscope community of users and partners, you can read Folsom's blog here.
