9 Small to Midsize Companies Hiring NOW in NYC!

My last year of college, I learned all too quickly the appeal of working at large, well-known companies: prestige, perks, pay, & people (built-in network). It seemed like all of my friends were applying for jobs at Facebook, Google, and top consulting firms.

But working at these kinds of companies also presents drawbacks: being part of a large, likely bureaucratic organization isn't for everyone. Some people do best when given the opportunity to lead and learn all areas of a business from day one. And there's no doubt that start-ups and small to mid-size companies have an edge when it comes to hands-on projects with the potential to impact the whole business.

Sometimes the best way to feel yourself making an impact in a big city like NYC is to find a job at a small or midsize firm where you know your voice will be heard. Here's a list of 9 of our favorite small to midsize companies doing big things in NYC (and beyond) in tech, finance, sales, and marketing - and they're hiring now!

How These Companies Are Celebrating Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month

According to a recent study, anti-Asian hate crimes have risen 150% since the pandemic started. But these acts of violence are not new — they are part of a much larger history of anti-Asian racism and violence in the U.S.

Sarah Mogin never used to like writing open-ended essays in school. She found herself much more motivated by tangible problems.
