On Thursday, June 4th 2020, join us for a live chat with a member of the Deloitte team! We are excited to hear from Paula Davis, a leader in the Advanced Analytics and Artificial Intelligence Practice for Deloitte Consulting, during the chat entitled, "Joining the Marine Corps & Pursuing a Career in Analytics Have A Lot More in Common Than You Think!".

Click here to register, and to access post-event, and we hope to see you there virtually! Here is more information about this live chat with Paula:

I have always loved a challenge; and perhaps even more than a challenge—I have always loved to challenge the status quo. Joining the Marine Corps offered me both of those opportunities—to challenge myself, a non-athlete and non-conformist to become a disciplined athlete and trained warrior. Additionally, it allowed me to challenge the status quo by being in a role that was stereotypically thought of as a "man's job." My career in analytics—a field largely dominated by men—has been a similar experience and continues to allow me to both be challenged and to challenge my peers in a healthy way.

(One of my favorite personal conflicts was when a woman who worked for me refused to use our publication's style guide when communicating on behalf of the business. Yes, I once found myself screaming in a newsroom about the need to use size-16 Tahoma in marketing materials rather than size-12 Times New Roman. But I promise I'm better at dealing with conflict now.)
