An Evening with Microsoft Women in Customer Support Services

If you are a Dallas-based tech professional and you'd like to attend this event, please email events@powertofly.com to be considered for an invite.

Microsoft has partnered with PowerToFly to present an intimate networking event. Hear from a panel of business & technology leaders from the Microsoft Customer Support Services (CSS) organization specializing in Microsoft Azure, who will discuss their career journeys and current projects.

CSS is seeking to build out the team of next generation Support Engineers in this big tech transformation. This requires an engineer who is customer-centric, a problem-solver, strong collaborator, and risk-taker that embraces that challenger mindset. If this sounds like you, or you'd just like to learn more about Microsoft, we'd love to have you at the event.

The event will take place on Tuesday, October 29th from 5:30pm to 7:30pm at the House of Blues, located at 2200 N. Lamar, Dallas.

Agenda (Subject to Change):

  • 5:30pm - Check-In & Networking over Light Food & Drinks
  • 6:10pm - Kick-Off from PowerToFly
  • 6:15pm - Welcome Address by Beth Teigue - Sr. Talent Acquisition Manager
  • 6:20pm - Panel Discussion featuring from Microsoft
  • 6:30pm - Audience Q&A
  • 6:45pm - Networking Continues

Whether you are looking for new opportunities (Microsoft is hiring!) or you just want to network with your peers, we hope you can attend this special mini-retreat.

If you are interested and available, Microsoft will be asking some attendees to interview for open roles on Wednesday, October 30th and Thursday, October 31st, the days after the event. Follow up interviews will take between three to four hours of your time and will be comprised of two technical interviews and one hiring manager interview. Let us know when you register if you are available and if so, if you'd prefer the morning or the afternoon. If you are not available on 10/30 or 10/31, Microsoft and PowerToFly will work with you to find an alternate follow-up date.

PowerToFly has been thrilled to partner with Microsoft on several past events. Check out photos from a past gathering in Seattle HERE. Here's what one attendee: "I brought my daughter who is also in IT. It was a wonderful evening for both of us. We loved the panel and they did make us feel that MS is now a more inviting place for women. We are now seeking employment at MS. The greatest thing about the evening was the opportunity to hang out with a room full of women IT professionals. How refreshing!"

About PowerToFly's Events: All RSVP'd attendees are welcome, regardless of race, color, religion, national origin, gender identity, pregnancy, physical or mental disability, or age. If you require assistance to fully participate in this event, please email hi@powertofly.com, and we will contact you to discuss your specific needs.

The NBA’s CMO Kate Jhaveri on Her Marketing Superpower: Building Community

Kate Jhaveri does one thing every day that she suggests you try: belly laughs.

The EVP and Chief Marketing Officer at the NBA credits her two kids with much of that levity—"They're very silly and they, at least once a day, make me laugh out loud," she says—though she seeks to make those lighter connections with her team at work, too.
