MINDBODY's Women Tech Leaders Shared Their Journeys at Our NYC Event
PowerToFly was thrilled to partner with MINDBODY, the cloud-based platform that powers wellness bookings, on our second event together.
Held at the NYC headquarters for Booker by MINDBODY, the all-in-one local service commerce platform that's helping business owners grow their customer base, book appointments, process payments, manage employees, and build long-term client relationships, PowerToFly worked closely with MINDBODY to put together a panel of women tech leaders that shared their own career journeys, discussed MINDBODY's rapid growth beyond fitness into the world of spas and imparted inspiring motivational advice.
Hosted by PowerToFly's CEO (and avid MINDBODY user) Milena Berry, the evening kicked off with a bang, courtesy a keynote address by MINDBODY's Regina Wallace-Jones, Vice President, Product Operations. While she has only been at MINDBODY a short period of time, Regina discussed her goals for the company, what drew her to the organization and her second career as a public servant as Regina is also the Vice Mayor of her town.
After Regina wrapped up to resounding applause, Danielle Pacheco, Senior UX Designer, provided us with a behind the scenes look at the Booker by MINDBODY platform, including sharing recent updates the team has made to create an even more seamless product.
The centerpiece of the evening was a panel discussion, moderated by Milena, that saw Regina and Danielle joined by their colleagues Kelly Irish, Software Engineer IV, and Christina Schelin, Security Engineer II to discuss such topics as work-life integration, favorite projects and personal passions.
The evening wrapped up with plenty of more opportunities for our guests to network with members of the MINDBODY team and each other over complimentary refreshments and to walk away with some sweet MINDBODY swag.
Here's what one attendee had to say about the event: "This event was so great. It made me feel great how everyone was supporting each other."
MINDBODY is hiring. Their competitive benefits include 20 vacation days per year, monthly wellness vouchers (of course), three onsite massage therapists, and over 25 daily items at their in-house bistro.
