A Look at Our Event with Microsoft in San Francisco
On December 13th, PowerToFly collaborated with tech titan Microsoft to present our fourth event together. Having worked with them several times, we know that Microsoft truly walks the walk when it comes to equality and diversity. Their employee network Women@Microsoft reaches over twenty thousand people worldwide. Microsoft's ongoing diversity partnerships include the Anita Borg Institute, National Center for Women & Information Technology (NCWIT), and MentorNet.
Held at Microsoft Reactor in San Francisco, this intimate event for about thirty women in tech, was geared at tech professionals who are interested in learning more about Microsoft's open roles in Modern Apps Consulting, Secure Infrastructure Consulting, and Premiere Field Engineering.
Moderated by Cristina Duke, PowerToFly's Director of Customer Success, the event kicked off with a keynote address by Shelley DeBardelaben - Director, Global Capacity Management at Microsoft.
Shelly was then joined in a panel discussion by three of Microsoft's impressive other women leaders including Luci Gomes - Global Director of Talent Acquisition Americas, Services, Commercial, Marketing & Consumer Teams; Erin Jacobsen - Director of Technical Delivery; and Beth MacAlarney - Technical Delivery Manager.
After sharing their own career journeys and answering some questions posed by Cristina, our expert panel happily took questions from the audience. The evenings ended with ample more time for our attendees to network with the Microsoft team as well as their peers.
