An Inside Look at Our Event with DocuSign
PowerToFly was excited to partner with DocuSign for an invite-only lunch event for experienced women in sales on October 3rd in San Francisco.
As they arrived, our guests were welcomed by great swag, yummy eats, and a beautiful view of the Golden Gate Bridge. The attendees also had plenty of time to network with both their peers and the DocuSign team before the afternoon kicked into high gear.
The first speaker was Joan Burke, DocuSign's Chief People Officer. For Joan, it's important that DocuSign to be the kind of place where you are doing the best work of your career. In terms advice to our attendees, Joan spoke about mentorship. She suggested that attendees seek out other individuals in their community who are doing well and encouraged them to take that person out for coffee.
Next up, we dived into a panel discussion, moderated by PowerToFly's Cristina Duke and featuring from DocuSign: Vanessa Anderson, Director, Enterprise Corporate Sales; Amber DeJong, Area Vice President, Enterprise Sales; and Drew Bruecken, Director of Outbound Sales. Amber chatted a bit about how DocuSign has good processes in place to enable personal growth and how she is focusing on working "smarter not harder", Vanessa shared she is focused on training and enablement for her team since she is new to DocuSign and Drew shared how listening is very important as a male ally.
Our panel then took questions from our audience ranging from DocuSign's sales strategies to company culture. The afternoon concluded with more opportunities to network over food and drinks before we all had to say goodbye.
The vibe in the room was electric. Here's what one attendee had to say about the event: It was a great opportunity to network with a room full of women sales leaders and get deep insights into the sales processes at DocuSign as well as the their policies on inclusion and diversity.
