On February 12th, PowerToFly co-hosted an evening of tech talks and discussions with revolutionary fitness innovator Peloton. (We have three PowerToFly team members who are Peloton members so we are clearly big fans).
Moderated by PowerToFly's Amy Trappey, this event was a chance to hear directly from the women tech leaders and allies who make Peloton's innovative products like the Peloton Bike, Peloton Tread and Peloton App possible.
Kicking off the evening, Peloton's Mindy Lieberman, VP of enterprise systems, greeted the crowd with warm and heartfelt introductory remarks before introducing Christine Becker, -senior software engineer at Peloton, who walked us through a behind-the-scenes tech talk. Mindy and Christine then stuck around to join a panel discussion & audience Q&A that also included Chandra Galbiati Thomas and Rosemary Arnold, both of whom are also software engineers.
Peloton is hiring. Benefits include a 401k plan with a 4% match, $100 a month towards your student loans, $100 a month towards a college savings plan, discounted bikes for you and your friends/family, and a great work-life balance.

Founded in 2012, Peloton brought top talent together in its Silicon Alley headquarters to create a new concept in fitness. In their words, "We loved cycling but had a hard time finding a workout that consistently fit our schedules, and our at-home workouts never felt quite up to par. So, we set out to create a world-class indoor cycling studio experience on your time, and in the comfort of your own home."

While PowerToFly has supported Goldman Sachs' diversity and inclusion efforts for the past several years, we were excited that this December, we hosted our first live event together at Goldman Sachs' office in NYC's Financial District.
Goldman Sachs believes who you are makes you better at what you do, which is one of the reasons why PowerToFly loves working with them. For Goldman Sachs, it's all about bringing together people who are curious, collaborative, and have the drive to make things possible for their clients and communities.
This special one-night-only gathering was hosted by PowerToFly CEO Milena Berry and kicked off with ample networking time over passed hors d'oeuvres. The programming officially got underway with inspiring opening remarks by Goldman Sachs' Sinead Strain, Managing Director.
Next up, members of the Goldman Sachs team presented a behind-the-scenes look at one of their cutting edge products, Marquee, which provides institutional investors with leading market intelligence, risk analytics, proprietary datasets, and trade execution across multiple asset classes.
When the product demo concluded, we launched into a wide reaching panel discussion with three of Goldman Sachs' women leaders and one terrific male ally. Our speakers included:
- Ramanathan Narayanan - Managing Director, HCM Technology
- Stephanie Chang - Vice President, Eqs Cash Algo Strats
- Christine Whalen - Associate, Secdb Architecture
- Kome Emuh - Vice President, Sec Div Eng Mgmt & Strategy
Here's what one attendee had to say about her experience: "I now have a different, more positive impression of the culture at Goldman Sachs."
