💎Prepare for your interview at Equinix with some great tips from the company’s recruiters. Watch the video till the end to learn about Equinix’s application process and how you can stand out!
📼 Get ready for an interview at Equinix with the insights shared by their recruiters: Tori Smith, Global Talent Acquisition Recruiter, and Kelly Mackey, Talent Recruiter for the Operations Team. Together, they’ll reveal tips and tricks about Equinix's interview process and give you some insights into how to prepare.
📼 When preparing for an interview with Equinix, what is the importance of cross-functional skills? First and foremost, Tori will be looking at your attitude, aptitude, and potential. No matter the technical skills they seek, their interest is to see how you work as a teammate and member of a larger organization. (That's your attitude.) For your aptitude, they’ll focus on the previous skills you attained, plus your ability to learn new skills. Lastly, they’ll evaluate your potential. What does your unique background bring to the team that’s new and different? And how can you apply that to make an impact within the bounds of what Equinix is already doing?
📼 At the interview with Equinix, every candidate should come prepared with what Kelly calls an “elevator speech” to answer the question: “Tell me about yourself!” The best way to respond to that is, “Where do you want me to start?” When assessing candidates, Tori will be asking a lot of different questions. What happens if you don't have the answer to a question? In Tori’s view, that's totally okay! If that happens, take a minute to walk the recruiter through how you might approach the question. Next, if it's a technical interview, share your expertise. They'd like to see how you use your knowledge in play. Remember: when you're interviewing, it's your time to shine. Share how you made an impact in previous roles by using numbers, statistics, and any other information that'll help. Provide data on how you’ve made a positive difference at your last job.

💎 Get ready for a competency-based interview with these valuable insights from a Netskope recruiter!
📼 Have you ever heard of a competency-based interview? It’s also known as a structured, behavioral, or situational interview, and it’s designed to test one or more skills or competencies. Watch this video, where you’ll meet Nicole Wilczynski, a member of the Talent Acquisition team at Netskope. She’ll review Netskope’s application process and give you some insights on how to best prepare for this type of interview.
📼 The best way to prepare for a competency-based interview is to review your resume and think of some projects and situations you’ve encountered in previous roles. When asked behavioral or situational questions, always provide a brief example to back up your answer. Think of something specific and unique to yourself, rather than delivering something generic.
📼 Apart from preparing the best answers for a competency-based interview, you should consider polishing your resume. Recruiters see a ton of resumes every day. Yours must stand out to make it through the first round of the selection process. You should use a few keywords in your resume. Look at the job description and make sure that your background aligns with what the company seeks. If so, you should probably already have those important points in your resume. For example, if you're a software engineer, list some technologies and programming languages that you know. If you're in sales, throw in some metrics: numbers are your friends!
Competency-Based Interview: Netskope Recruiter’s Go-To Questions
Nicole’s go-to question for a candidate is always, “What do you know about Netskope?” It's so important to research a company before the initial recruiter call because it shows your level of interest. Nicole also always asks the candidate, “What are three things that are most important for you in your next role?” It helps her understand what the candidate prioritizes, whether that's a great culture, high salary, or good work-life balance. As Nicole says, there are no wrong answers for this one! She just wants to make sure it's a mutual fit.

💎 Are you considering applying for a job at Headway? Get these tips from a recruiter to ace your interview!
📼 Watch this video to prepare for your Headway job interview. In this video, you’ll meet Brehanna Skaletski, Studio Experience Manager with Headway, who will walk you through the process and talk about some of the key questions they ask. When you are ready to apply, you’ll know exactly what the company is looking for!
📼 To ace your Headway job interview, one of the first things to know is that the recruiters are a little less traditional regarding resumes. While you will be asked to upload your resume as part of the online application process, Headway recruiters are more focused on your experience and how it can be applied to the position. Your education and exact background are not as important. What matters is showing the interviewer what you will take from your previous experiences and how you will apply it to the role that you’re hoping to get.
📼 Something to do before your Headway job interview is to become familiar with the application process. Headway has a six-step interview process that starts with an online application. From there, someone from the team will reach out for the first round of interviews. Here, you’ll sit down with recruiters who will ask questions, learn your story, figure out why Headway will be a great next fit for you, and how you and the company can build that journey together. Of course, they want to hear your questions as well at that stage. In step number three, you'll take two assessments. From there, you’ll move to skills exercise and debrief, where you can tell the interviewer what you did and why you did it. The last step is a team fit with a couple of potential colleagues. They will want you to dive in with the team who will be your new coworkers and make sure that you feel comfortable as you continue through the process. Hopefully, this will lead to step number six: receiving your hiring offer!
