On Thursday, May 12th PowerToFly hosted an hour-long session where we were joined by Noelle Johnson, Global DEI Strategist at PowerToFly, and Danielle (Dani) Gutierrez MSW, LPC, NCC, for a candid conversation where we learned more about building effective cross-cultural relationships, nurturing global partnerships, and developing understanding and empathy around cultural differences.

About Our Subject Matter Expert
Danielle (Dani) Gutierrez MSW, LPC, NCC, is a Licensed Professional Counselor for the US Army and is a nationally certified counselor for private citizens and is currently stationed in Germany. In her work, she is recognized for her ability to meet people where they are to help them grow at their own place.She is experienced in motivational interviewing, brief solution-focused therapy and more all with a base in the humanistic approach. I have a Master’s in Counseling Psychology, specializing in Marriage and Family Therapy, from Chaminade University of Honolulu, and a Master’s of Social Work from the University of Alaska Anchorage.➘ Watch the Session

About Our Subject Matter Expert
Stephanie is passionate about building diverse teams, celebrating differences and helping to build cultures where people can bring their whole selves to work. Working in the inclusion space has been a lifelong journey for Steph and one that she is thrilled to continue in her current role as Talent Inclusion Partner at Canva, where she is focused on strategies and programs to increase diversity and equity within the talent pipeline. Prior to moving into that role, she has worked in many Talent and Recruitment roles within the tech sector.
Originally from Washington, DC, Stephanie brings a global perspective and intersectional lens to discussions around Diversity, Equity and Inclusion. She currently lives in Sydney with her husband, Gary, and son, Thomas. In her very rare spare time, she loves cooking, doing the daily Wordle, being a very average dancer, and eating tacos and ice cream.

Adriana Crawford, is a results-driven and people-centered Diversity and Workforce leader and coach. She has over 10 years of experience in leading high-performing individuals and teams, generating millions in revenue, streamlining organizational processes, and implementing change management across multiple systems through the lens of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion.
She is the founder and CEO of The Élan Principle, a personal branding consultancy for women.
When she is not working with organizations or coaching, Adriana enjoys public speaking, cooking, and traveling whenever she gets the chance.
